MEASURING AND REDUCING YOUR DIGITAL FOOTPRINT
The CCIG is partnering with MIKUJY to offer its Members conferences and trainings, in French and English, on Green IT and Sustainable IT. These events offer comprehensive learning as well as concrete tools and actions that can be transferred to one's daily professional life.
The courses are taught by Ivan Mariblanca Flinch, European expert in Green IT and referent in Switzerland.
Conference and workshop programme
The digital transition is underway. At the same time, companies are committed to ambitious climate objectives: Net Zero, Carbon neutral, footprint reduction, etc.
Worldwide, digital technology accounts for 4% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, twice the pollution from civil aviation. By 2030, its footprint will represent 8% of GHG emissions. It is the sector with the highest growth in pollution among all sectors.
In companies, digital technology represents between 5 and 30% of its global footprint. The digital footprint is mainly present in scope 3, the company's indirect emissions. So, have you ever wondered what digital pollution represents in your company? Or how can it be measured? Or how to raise awareness among your colleagues?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our conferences and workshops are for you. They will cover:
- the environmental and societal footprint of digital technology in companies,
- the measurement of the IT footprint in companies,
- environmental indicators to track the IT footprint,
- concrete tools to measure your IT footprint, from hardware, website, emails and videoconferences,
- priority best practices in the office and at home.
- participation in the Swiss Green IT benchmark,
- the basics of the Green IT strategy,
- presentation of the European Sustainable IT label
The conferences and workshops will be dynamic, participatory and above all very concrete. Ready to discover the hidden side of digital technology?
